Shortlisted Fundraising Story – 1

This short but inspiring success story was one of our very first entrants and was submitted by Keeley Harrison of Wakefield Hospice;

“We were one of the first charities to take a group of supporters to the new zip slide in Snowdonia called Zip World Snowdonia which is the longest and fastest zip wire in Europe.

The zip wire crosses the Penrhyn Quarry, reaching speeds of up to 100mph and travels 500ft above the mountain lake.  ‘The nearest thing to flying’.

23 people took part and we expect to raise £6,000 from their sponsorship for Wakefield Hospice.”

This was possibly our shortest entry though after viewing Zip World site we realise no more explanation was needed, this activity is a must for anyone whole likes a buzz of adrenaline to go along with their fundraising endeavours!

Don’t forget we are announcing more short listed stories over the coming days, for more details see our original blog.
